Latter-Day Zerubbabel
Part of the: Seventh Message
Mystery
By Eric William King
Just as there is a Latter-Day David prophesied
to appear, there is also a Latter-Day Zerubbabel
spoken of in the minor-prophets and the New Testament. To have a
fuller understanding of the Latter-Day David read my article:

The Contents of the
Seventh Message
There are distinctive mysteries, prophecies which are only now, in
our time being fully understood. They all have to do with what we call “The Seventh
Message”. Here is a simple list of them:
1.)
The Whirlwind Prophecy. (Jeremiah ch.25)
2.)
Three phases of the war, Gog & Magog (Russia in
prophecy). (Ezekiel ch.38)
3.)
The Seventh Messenger & all messages to the Seven
Church Epochs. (Revelation ch.2&3)
4.)
The Latter-Day Zerubbabel. (Zechariah ch.4; Haggai 2:4-9
& 21-23)
5.)
The Latter-Day David. (Ezekiel 34:23,24; Hosea 3:4,5;
Jeremiah 30:9)
6.)
The Seven Revelations to the Antiochene Church of God. (Theology
confirmed in the year 2023)
7.)
The Right Understanding of the Seven Seals & the
144,000. (Revelation ch.5 – 8; Revelation ch.7)
If you study with us here you will begin to learn about these awesome
mysteries. They have always been right before us in our Bible but only
now, in the Laodicean period of the church can we truly understand them.
In this document we will examine some of the information regarding the
Latter-Day Zerubbabel. We will first look at the prophet Zechariah chapter
four. The prophet Zechariah was awakened by an angel in Zechariah 4:1, “as a
man who is wakened out of his sleep.” This has overtones to the Laodicean
church that Jesus gives counsel to in Revelation 3:14-22. Jesus stands at the
door of the church and knocks but nobody is answering, they have fallen asleep
(spiritually speaking).
After the prophet Zechariah awakes, the angel gives him a vision of a
golden lampstand with seven lamps on it. He sees a large bowl hovering above
it. From this bowl seven pipelines run out, one connected to each of the seven
lamps. On either side of the hovering bowl stands two olive trees and from each
one a pipe line going into the bowl. Now this is a detailed vision.
What does all of this mean? The Ancient
Antiochene Church of God has (in its library) ancient descriptions
on just how the original Christians understood this important prophecy which is
important information for our time. First off, the two olive trees
represent the Word of God in its fullness, the Old and New Testament. They also
represent the two prophets which will appear in the first half of the Seven
Year Tribulation – Moses (representing the saints who die during the
tribulation) and second, Elijah (representing the saints who will be raptured –
Elijah was “caught up” – (2nd Kings 2:11). The Two Witnesses: (Zechariah 4:11-14; Revelation 11:1-14; Mathew 17:1-8)
The pipes running out of the two-olive trees pour oil into the hovering
bowl. This is the teaching of the Old and New Testament coming together,
forming the “vision of all” (Isaiah 29:11), which is the Bible itself.
The Bible is also the Seven Sealed Scroll
in Revelation chapter five. It is open to the saints (understood) but closed to
the fallen world (2nd Corinthians 4:3,4). It is written on the
“front and backside” (Old & New Testament) and “sealed with Seven Seals”.
The number “seven” represents completeness and perfection. The
Bible is the complete Word of God.
“The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of
the earth, PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES. You shall
keep them, O LORD, you shall preserve [“protect”- “seal” them] from this
generation forever (olam).” (Psalm 12:6,7)
God’s Spirit is in the oil - the Holy Spirit. Only through the power
of the Holy Spirit can the candlestick burn and give its “light” – revelations
from God.
We are to Understand the Seven Seals Prophecy
1.) First, the Seven Lamps symbolize the Seven Seals
Revelation which is given to the Seven Churches, the complete Word of God. We
note that the seven lamps (churches) are getting fed the Word of God (the Seven
Sealed Scroll). We are to understand the Seven Sealed Prophecy more fully in
the “time of the end” - the Seventh Time which is the time we are in now. (The
Laodicean time.) (Revelation 3:14-22)
2.) Second, the Seven Lamps represent more directly the Seven
Churches. These churches are listed by name in the Revelation and ultimately
point to seven epochs of the Christian church. (Revelation 1:20)
3.) Third, the fire (light) on each lamp also is a symbol of
the Seven Stars which Jesus Christ holds in His right hand (Revelation 1:20).
The seven stars are the Seven Angels which are the seven messengers,
one to each of the Seven Churches, the 7th being the Laodicean
church – the era we are currently experiencing.
Discovering Latter-Day
Zerubbabel
Moving along in Zechariah chapter four, we will now give an overview
starting at Zechariah 4:4. After the angel showed Zechariah the vision of the
Seven Lamps, he says; “Do you not know what these are?” He goes on to explain
to Zerubbabel that God will give him the ultimate strength to finish the
rebuilding of the temple.
In Hebrew, the name “Zerubbabel” means: “Seed of Life for those in
Confusion (Babylon)”. It is a name of hope for the lost.
We must understand that Zerubbabel was appointed by the Persian king Cyrus
to be a governor over Israel - after Cyrus freed Judah from Babylonian
captivity. The name Cyrus, in Hebrew is Koresh.
Koresh of old typifies the future David which is to come – which we have many
other studies on. (Ezekiel 34:23,24; Isaiah 44:28)
The Lord - through the angel, goes on to tell Zerubbabel that; “His hands
shall finish it (the rebuilding of the temple).” (Zechariah 4:9). The next
verse is a hint to the future, or Latter-Day Zerubbabel. When God inserts these
kinds of future events, they are theologically called, “Parenthetical Prophecies”.
Here is what the next verse says;
“For who has despised the day of small things? For These Seven rejoice
to see the plumbline (plummet stone) in the hand of Zerubbabel (Latter-Day
Zerubbabel). They are the eyes of the Lord, which scan to and fro
throughout the whole earth.” (Zechariah 4:10) So the question becomes; “Who
are ‘these seven’?”
These are the Seven Angels (messengers) in Revelation 1:20 which are sent
to the Seven Churches. These are Celestial Angels (Heavenly Messengers)
which have been assigned to each of the seven church epochs (periods of time).
They are also referred to as the “seven eyes of the Lord”. What “Zerubbabel”
are these heavenly messengers longing to see? The Latter-Day Zerubbabel who
helps bring understanding to the Seventh Message.
We must remember, each church epoch has a Heavenly Angel and an Earth [Human]
Messenger which helps the church through each of the Seven Church Epochs.
Because we are in the last epoch, seventh epoch of the church, the
Latter-Day Zerubbabel is here giving you this message right now.
This Zerubbabel is not Jesus Christ or the Latter-Day David, he is simply
the Seventh Messenger. He is chosen to give this special message and in the Antiochene
Records he is also mentioned as “Jeshurun” – found in Isaiah 44:2. (In
Hebrew: Yesharim) He is also mentioned in Isaiah 46:11 as, “The man
who executes My [God’s] counsel.”
Now we will look at some more Scripture which will reference this
Latter-Day Zerubbabel. We find this insight in the minor prophet, Haggai.
While Zerubbabel of old helped build a much smaller, and not as glorious a temple
as that of King Solomon, it was still special. But in Haggai chapter 2:7,8 we
read that some future Zerubbabel will help [through his message] to build a
much greater temple. We read;
“And I [God] will shake ALL NATIONS.
And they shall come to the Desire of all Nations, and I will fill
this temple with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the
gold is Mine, says the LORD of hosts. THE GLORY OF THIS TEMPLE SHALL BE
GREATER THAN THE FORMER (Solomon’s), says the LORD of hosts. And in this place,
I will give peace (shalom), says the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:7-9)
So, this Latter-Day Zerubbabel is going to point towards a “greater
temple” which shall be built during the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.
This Greater Temple is mentioned in Ezekiel the
prophet and is understood to be the Millennial Temple by many theologians
today.
Finally, we read about this last-day Zerubbabel in Hagai 2:21-23. Pay
attention and listen carefully, blessed Church of God:
“Speak to Zerubbabel, governor [leader] of Judah [the Davidic
tribe], saying: I will shake heaven and earth, I will overthrow
the throne of kingdoms; I will destroy the strength of Gentile kingdoms. I
will overthrow the chariots and those who ride in them; The horses and their
riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. IN THAT DAY
(the “Time
of the End”), says the LORD of hosts, I WILL TAKE YOU, ZERUBBABEL MY
SERVANT, the son of Shealtiel [“those who ask of God” =
Christians], says the LORD, and will make you a SIGNET RING; for I
have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.” (Hagai 2:20-23)
The Final Sealing Message
The term “signet” (Haggai 2:23) in the Hebrew means “SEAL”.
Latter-Day Zerubbabel brings the final “sealing message” for the last day
church. He is also identified in Revelation 7:2 as the “messenger ascending
from the east” telling the four angels that are holding back “the
four winds” (the final fulfilment of the Seven Seals) to wait until “we
have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” (Revelation 7:3)
So, todays Zerubbabel, along with the “John class” (the awake
Christians) is bringing this final sealing message to those who will receive
it. (The “John class” are those who truly accept the Apostle John’s “Revelation
of Jesus Christ” and study it.)
This is happening now! It is starting to happen through the “Whirlwind
Prophecy” and the “War of Gog & Magog” which we teach
about here at “The Shepherds Way” & “Nugget of Truth”. The Seventh Messenger is here and you can be awake,
aware, and alert (“triple ‘a’”).
