The Little Book Open

The Little Book Open

For the Ancient Antiochene Church of God this is a very important subject. It has to do with one of the last visions given to the Christian church, given to and through the apostle John. We find it in the book of Revelation ch.10. This vision involves important issues for our time as Christians.

Apostle John is given a vision by a “mighty angel”, the angel of God. He is shown and ultimately given a “little book open”. As Christians we know that God’s word is complete and cannot be added to nor subtracted from so this “little book” represents a portion of God’s completed word. It represents the completed New Testament, the smaller book when compared to the Old Testament.

As apostle John was seeing this vision, he was also getting information to write that last letter (epistle) for the New Testament. John was beginning to understand that it would be through him that the New Testament was to become completed. After taking the book from the hand of the angel he was instructed to “eat” it. This means that he was to study it, take it in and proclaim the message from its pages. John was told; “Thou must prophesy again [Greek: palin] before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.” (Revelation 10:11)

The Greek word for “again” in this verse means, “another time”. His message was to be spoke in front of many people in a future time. Apostle John was not able to fulfill this because he died of old age. We begin to understand that it is the John Class that fulfills this decree in these last days.

Apostle John was able to get this last vision out but he being old in age and in prison was not able to speak before [in front of] great crowds of people ever again. Again, we must understand that it is the last-day Christians who are ultimately to reveal this final message. Collectively, these latter-day Christians have become known as the “John Class”. The John Class are the Christians obeying Christ’s instruction: “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy [epistle of Revelation], and keep [understand and teach] those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Revelation 1:3)

This message is not specifically addressed to the world as much as it is given to the Christian Church. Jesus, through John, addresses it to the church: “John to the seven churches which are in Asia.” (Revelation 1:4) The number seven throughout the Bible is a number which represents “completion”. The book of Revelation is loaded with apocalyptic symbolism. These seven churches represent the entire Christian church throughout time – past, present, future. Thus, this entire Revelation is very important for us, the last-day church.

Today’s church is sadly broken up into numerous denominations. Throughout the first six epochs of the Christian church this problem has become part of its struggle.  Jesus prophesied that this would happen (Matthew 26:31). Those who, in these last days, accept the final counsel to Laodicea should “buy the gold refined by fire” and return to the true “body of Christ” (first church called “Christians” in ancient Antioch, Acts 11:26).

Apostle Paul has urged us: “I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.” (1st Corinthians 1:10) This happens when we teach correct doctrine. “You must all teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.” (Titus 2:1)

In Revelation 10:4 John hears “seven thunders” utter their “voices”. It is a verbal message that John hears from the thunders. He hears the completed revelation of the septenary mysteries. The revelation of the divine plan found in the Old and New Testament was thus told to apostle John, sounding like seven thunders. In the Bible we find the “seven days of creation”, the “seven dispensations”, the “seven covenants”, the “seven churches”, the “seven seals”, the “seven trumpets”, the seven “bowls of God’s wrath”, and much more.

All together this was a magnificent revelation of the wholeness and completeness of Almighty God and His plan, roaring like loud thunder. A powerful testimony of the finished work of God. John was about to write out his great vision of the septenary mysteries, he wanted to reveal them, but was told; “Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.” They were to be sealed in John’s time but revealed in our time, the Seventh Church Epoch – the time of Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22).

We now begin to understand the three Earth Ages, the Seven Dispensations, and the Seven Church Epochs. God has this full revelation for the church of God today.

“And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6)

All of these “thunders” are to be understood in our time. The Ancient Antiochene Church of God has the teachings of the septenary revelations in completeness. The prophet Daniel’s revelations help us unseal these prophecies. God told Daniel; “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:9-10)

God has promised to open our eyes to understanding these things and other prophecies from His word in these last-days. God says; “In days to come you will understand it clearly.” (Jeremiah 23:20) Jesus has always opened up the understanding of His word to His true disciples. Jesus says; “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables…” (Mark 4:11)

The Laodicean counsel shows Jesus standing outside the churches of today, knocking at their doors, trying to get back in (Revelation 2:20). Many denominations have become settled, too comfortable with their false doctrines. They are “lukewarm” and many are “spiritually asleep”.

The angel that was giving the vision to apostle John in Revelation 10:6-7 tells John; “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation 10:7)

Many English translations state here that when the seventh angel sounds his “trumpet, the mystery should be finished” but in the original manuscripts [Greek] the word trumpet is not there. Because some translations have the word trumpet inserted here, many people think that this angel is a reference to the seventh angel which sounds his trumpet in Revelation 11:15. When the seven angels sound their trumpets, the Greek word for trumpet is there (esalpisen) but is not here with this angel (Revelation 10:7). This angel appears before the trumpet angel of Revelation 11:15.

The seventh angel that John is told about in Revelation 10:7 is said to give a “voice”, in other words, a verbal message. The Greek word for voice used here is “phones”. This word can mean “a voice crying out” a “loud voice”. Plutarch calls it, “that which brings light upon that which is thought of in the mind”. This angel has the completed message of the septenary mysteries – collectively, the Seven Thunders.

John is told regarding this angel, “when he shall begin to sound”, the “mystery of God should be finished.” What is the “mystery of God”? We find that the apostle Paul, in his epistles, tells us that the “mystery” is the Christian church.  Paul states; “…for the sake of his (Christ’s) body, which is the church.” “…the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but now disclosed to the saints.” (Colossians 1:24-26)

The Christian church was not seen by the Old Testament prophets. They thought that when the Messiah would appear he would immediately set up his kingdom and begin his reign. Instead, Jesus built his church to call in the Gentiles before his second coming. The church is the Kingdom of God in Mystery. At the end of the Great Tribulation and the beginning of the Millennial reign of Christ, the church will become the Kingdom in Manifestation.

Currently, we are in the church dispensation. Apostle Paul tells us; “If ye have heard of this dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward.” (Ephesians 3:1) So, this seventh angel found back in Revelation 10:7 sounds a message during the last time of the Christian church – the mystery of God. In Revelation ch.2 & 3 we find the first seven angels mentioned that are giving messages to the seven churches. The seventh angel which gives a message to the last, Laodicean church, is this angel spoken of here in Revelation 10:7. He is giving the final (7th) counsel to the last-day church.

It says that when he “begins” to sound this final message, the “mystery” (church) should be completed. The final church epoch will become completed after receiving this final counsel and then the rapture of the church will take place. This is the exciting time that we are living in.

The Laodicean counsel is being proclaimed!

The Christian church today needs to leave denominationalism, throw away false doctrines and return to the church that Jesus Christ built. The final counsel to Laodicea, after being heeded by the purified Christians, will make up the final “little flock” (Luke 12:32). These latter-day Christians are those who enter through the “narrow gate” (Luke 13:18-30).  They are true students of the word of God. Their faith has been “tried in the fire.”

We, the Ancient Antiochene Church of God, have been revealed this great and final message. We are sharing it with fellow Christians – this is our duty. We make up the John Class in these last days and are inviting Christians to join the John Class of Christians [the remnant]. Learn this extremely important counsel for Laodicea (the end time church) and begin to share it with whatever church that you congregate with.

God calls the spiritually sick, and the weak to come unto Him. Those not necessarily seen as wise by the world’s standards. The moment one accepts Jesus Christ as savior and Lord he or she becomes forgiven and justified and then becomes robed with the righteousness of Christ. Then, one must grow. The New Mind must be developed through guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

God is telling His latter-day children; “Be holy, for I am holy.”

This message contains all the correction needed in regards to gaining clear theology - and proclaims pure and sound doctrine through the “cleansed” church. The Christian church is going through the spiritual “fire”, “gold refined in fire”. Jesus tells the final church of Laodicea; “Buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put in your eyes, so you can see.” (Revelation 3:18)

We invite you to study daily with us here at “The Shepherds Way & Nugget of Truth”.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
