Christians and
Life Fluctuations
All of
us have feelings that affect our thoughts. Some people are more of a “feeling”
type than others. God has provided Christians an emotional place of rest. When
we enter prayer and then silence (selah), we may stay in that state and trust
that God is working, even when we don’t feel it, see it, or even sense it. We
could understand this phenomenon by looking at a swing-set. The ropes of the
swing are attached to a top pole that doesn’t move. The swing may swing while
attached to the top pole, but the pole stays stationary. We may feel like the
swing, going from this extreme emotion to the next, especially while we are
distressed, sad, or angry.
We need to go up to that “top pole”, the stationary
place. The body and the emotions are attached to your spirit and if you are a
true Christian your spirit is attached to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is
that “still place” and when everything else is moving you can rest in the Holy
Spirit. Go up to that “top pole” through prayer – there you will find true
rest.
When your spirit rests in the Holy Spirit there is no
movement or noise. The Scriptures inform us about this state of being. God
says; “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm46:10) When we come out of
prayer, we can be sure that God will lead, guide, direct, and protect us –
according to His will.
As Ancient Antiochene Christians we recognize the fact
that the human personality is an extremely complex structure. Psychology has
tried to understand it but not with proper perspective. We live in a sinful
matrix which has distorted human perception on every level. Receiving the
person of the Holy Spirit as the true inner teacher and guide (Sophia) is
extremely important and part of the main process in becoming a true “begotten
child of God”. In this life we struggle much and we get caught up in things
that lead us astray. Learning to pray to God and properly rest in your “gift of
faith” is very important and a part of the process of Christian maturity.
We encourage you – don’t give in or give up but
instead learn to truly trust in God. God is in control, God is control. Everything
down here (in the Fallen Matrix) is constantly moving, moving in perversion and
distortion. As Christians we have the “Rock” that doesn’t move and is not
affected by the Fallen Matrix.
Our personal development and our Christian faith are
continuous in their growth throughout our entire life. No matter how old we are
in the “flesh” we are always the children of our God. Jesus stated: “I tell you
the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a child will
never enter it.” (Mark 10:15)
We invite you to continue your Bible studies here - with
us at, “The Shepherds Way & Nugget of Truth”. Presbyter King’s talks and writings
have become an exquisite gift to the Body of Christ. Thank you for taking time
out to visit us. We are “the body of Christ” on planet earth.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Stillness in Life Fluctuations
Above: Presbyter King explains how to find "stillness" in too much movement.
"But the path of the just is as the shining light (illuminosity),
that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."
~Proverbs 4:8
