The John Class
The John
Class is a title that has been given to last-day Christians. These are
Christians who understand the three Earth Ages, the Seven Dispensations, and
the Seven Church Epochs. They understand that they are living in the second
Earth age, the sixth dispensation, in the seventh church epoch. They understand
special references in the Scriptures which have to do with the Seventh Angel
and his mission. Jesus Christ has sent seven angels to the church, one for each
epoch.
The John Class understands the counsels given to the seven
churches in Revelation (ch.2-3). The John Class understands that we (the
Christian church) are in the final, seventh epoch of time and that the rapture
is imminent. We understand the importance of proclaiming the gospel of the
Kingdom of God in this end time.
The John Class makes up the “little flock” (Luke 12:32). The
John Class is typified as the “five virgins” who had the “extra oil” in their
lamps (Matthew 25:1-13). This “extra oil” represents the final “sealing
message” and the understanding of specific end-time prophecies (Mark 4:11-14).
They make up the “one third” of the Christians that come “through the fire”
(Zechariah 13:8-9).
Jesus’ last counsel given to the “seventh angel” states; “buy from me gold refined in the fire” (Revelation 3:18). To those who heed this counsel it means that we have struggled to apply the Scriptures to our personal lives and tested the truthfulness of “pure doctrine”, proper guidance from God’s word. The prophet Daniel was told to “seal up” certain prophecies and that they would only be understand at the end time. He was told that “Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise will understand.” (Daniel 12:10).
So, this “gold refined in fire” is very special. It is our
experiential knowledge of the Seventh Message – the counsel to the final
church. The John Class stresses to the “sleeping” Christians that they are in
the Laodicean condition and that they need to wake up, out of their spiritual
stupor. Basically, the Laodicean church is spiritually asleep, not paying
attention just as the “five virgins” stayed "spiritually" asleep in Matthew 25:5. Jesus
informs His true saints to “watch”, stay awake.
In Revelation chapter ten we read about a special vision
given to apostle John. In this vision a glorious angel comes to him holding a
“small scroll”. This scroll represents the New Testament. Apostle John was
receiving visions that would become the last book of our Bible. John hears
“seven thunders” and he was about to write. The thunders represent the
completed Bible. The Bible contains what is called the “septenary mysteries”.
These are the mysteries having to do with the number seven; seven days of
creation, seven dispensations, seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpets,
etc.
John was receiving the last vision of these great mysteries.
He was told not to write what had been revealed, for it was “sealed up” to be
revealed in the last days. Instead, he was given the completed New Testament
(little scroll) and told to “eat it”. This means to take it in, contemplate it
and ultimately share it.
He was told that “in the days when the seventh angel is
about to sound, the mystery should be finished” (Revelation 10:7). Many
translations say when the seventh angel is about to sound the “trumpet” it
should be finished, but the Greek word for trumpet in the original texts does
not appear here. Many have assumed that this is the “seventh trumpet” angel of
Revelation chapter 11:15 but it is not. This angel appears before that angel
and is in fact a reference to the seventh angel to the church of Laodicea
(Revelation 3:14).
Revelation 10:6-7 states that after this seventh angel
sounds “the mystery should be finished”. The “mystery” is the Christian church.
This angel has to do specifically with the Christian church. Apostle Paul
refers to the church as a mystery in his epistles. This angel is not sounding a
trumpet, but a message – the Seventh Message to the church of Laodicea.
The present-day John Class has this special message.
