Christian Mediation & Prayer
Learning to
walk in your Christian Faith daily - Your
whole life should be worship to God.
By Eric William King
Christians need to pray always. When we talk to God it is like
talking to a Perfect
Father. You can go to God for anything, about anything. We also need to thank God always and consider all
that He has given us, even the “little
things”.
We meditate
on the Word of God as we read it.
What does this mean? We read and ask ourselves, “How does this apply to me
today? What can I learn from this?”
Read the Holy Scriptures
We may choose
certain Psalms to read in the morning and at night. We may choose topics
from the Bible to study and think on. We can sing to the Lord also. Listening
to Christian music and singing Christian music is worship throughout the day.
Remembering Bible verses to help comfort us in times of trouble is also a daily
practice.
One simple
way to do Christians meditation is to sit in a comfortable chair or sit back on
a comfortable couch and read the Scriptures. Think about what you are reading,
what does it mean? How can I learn from this? How can I apply this to my life?
Talk to God. You should have a time to do this every day. Many like to do it in
the evening or early morning.
Having silent time everyday with God is extremely
important.
Communion & Church
Worship
Some
Christians like to memorize the Apostles Creed
and the Ten Commandments -
foundational meditations for the early Christians. We partake of the Eucharist (Holy Communion) when we can and
participate in liturgical
worship, singing and praising through corporate worship within
the church weekly.
Daily Walks
If you cannot
worship in a church building you can worship here. You can worship by meeting
with other Christians in friendship or just by praying with and for others. Take
walks and enjoy the things which God has created. Daily walks are important for
the Christian.
In the World but not of
the World
As Christians
we maintain the individual identity that God gave us. The only thing we
renounce is the “fallen world” with its fake reality and synthetic morals. We give up the Fallen
Matrix. We give up our fallen
nature and surrender to the Divine Will.
We experiment with God’s Truth and leave “mans truth” behind.
True
individuality is not accomplished until the person discovers who they truly are
in Christ. This fallen world is without true worship and contact with Divine Intelligence, instead it follows the denizens of Darkness. The
world lives in the Fallen Matrix. The masses are for the most part, controlled
by the tactics of fallen psychology.
The politicians manipulate individuals and society.
True
Christians have received the “New Birth”
and are awake to what is really going on. As Christians we have the message of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ….download it into
your soul now! Though we live in this fallen world there is still much
beauty here for us to take in and enjoy. We are careful who we befriend but at
the same time we show compassion on the lost and hurting. Though we live in
this fallen world we are not consumed by it.
Using Decrees
The Ancient
Antiochene Christians use decrees in their daily meditations. Decrees are not prayers; they are confirmations
– spoken sparks of life. When we decree we
remind our subconscious mind that God
is in control. They can be repeated silently or out loud. Here are three
decrees used by Antiochene Christians today:
Jesus Christ the Truth Divine,
Blaze within this heart of mine,
I am in your Sphere of Light,
May I shine forever bright.

God is in me,
Working through me,
Forgiving and guiding me,
Oh God, thou art my protection.
______________________________
I am forgiven – by the Love of God
I am washed – by the Love of God
I am sealed – by the Love of God
I am saved – by the Love of God
God is Friendship, God is Love, God
is Truth.
These are invocations of God’s love and power. Many
Christians design their own personal decrees to help program correct thinking
throughout the day. Some like to use quotes from the Psalms
in their decrees. A specific Bible verse may become a favored decree. We each
develop our own personal relationship with Divine
Intelligence.
When others wrongfully judge you,
forgive.
Our whole life is a life of worship;
whatever we do we are serving the Lord.
We (Antiochene
Christians) also enjoy listening to some of the early Greek Christian
Chants. We do not accept these meditations if they “pray to Mary” or “Saints”, we only use those which glorify the Lord and agree with
Scripture.
Finally, we
urge you to READ
good books. Reading
and studying keeps your mind healthy and strong.
May our God continue to richly bless you. Trust and
rest in Him every day!
