Ancient Antiochene
Christian Mysticism

In this
new series of articles, I hope to give insight regarding the subject of Antiochene Mystic Christianity. As many of you
may know who have studied here over the years, we do not teach “mysticism” in
the sense that this world understands the subject today. There are many pagan
“New Age” schools teaching things and saying things which are misleading and
certainly not Christian.
So, what the
Ancient Antiochene Church of God is teaching when we talk about “mysticism” is
a state of mind, a level of Christianity that can be attained through deeper
study. We are Christian and hold to the doctrines of the First Christian
Church. We do not teach reincarnation, or food laws, or karma, etc. We teach
Jesus Christ.
The teachings
of Antiochene Mysticism are fun to study and give the true seeker special
insight into the Christian faith that they would not get any place else. People
like to stop in and read our articles and watch our lectures because they
always get something new and applicable which is healthy for their Christian
faith. We are developing the “mind of Christ”.
When we use the
word “mysticism” or “mystical” we do not mean weird or strange.
Basically, it simply means “receiving secret truths that before were unknown”.
To call our Christian mysticism “Kabbalah” in this sense is appropriate because
the Hebrew word “Kabbalah” means ‘that which is received’.
Jesus tells us
that if we “drink” the “water” that He gives us we will never
thirst again. Antiochene Christians have experienced this and praise God for
the experience. One thing that the Antiochene Christian realizes is the fact
that God always has something new to show us, to teach us. Antiochene Mysticism
includes “Ancient Christian Kabbalah” and “Apocalyptic Revelations”. It
includes the understanding of the “Creative Ages”, the secrets of the “Dispensations”,
the seven “Epochs of the Church” and much more. Finally, it includes the
revelation of the Seventh Message – the message for our Church Epoch.
The basic
geometric structure of Kabbalah is called “The Tree of Life”. It is made up of
ten spheres (sefirot) in an orderly bundle somewhat shaped like a “tree”. The
spheres are connected by twenty-two tubes or lines. These are called “the 22
paths of wisdom”. But wait, the first ten letters of the Hebrew alphabet are
its numbers: 1-10. So, if we count the Ten Sephirot along with the 22 paths we
get “32 Paths of Wisdom”. The 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet (aleph-bet)
showing that it is the “Word of God” which holds every “thing” together –
including numbers and math. The ten spheres may represent major attributes
(relationship functions) of Divine Intelligence (God).
If we add yet
another “hidden sephirah”, an eleventh known as Da-at, then we get the
“33 Paths of Wisdom”. My point is, God will always have something new for us to
understand in our studies of His precious word.
I urge those who visit here to study my lecture series
titled “The Creative Ages” parts one
through four to help get a foundation upon which to begin building your
Antiochene Mystic understandings. All Christians must study God’s word
to avoid deception. We must cling to the words of Jesus Christ. We must trust
only in Him and His word to get the Truth. Many have given up and left the work
of the Lord. Only God’s true elect will continue to cling to Him, love Him, and
truly trust Him. Never lose sight of the promises of our Almighty God.
God instructs us to study to show ourselves approved unto Him. The
Christian Church has the challenge of learning how to respond to the extremes
and diverse issues we all face today. I truly believe that the Christian church
needs to rise above all the confusion and hatred and let the Light of Jesus
Christ shine brighter and brighter. It is time to have Jesus Christ show the
fallen world just how His children deal with all these issues. We deal with
them through and in the Love of Jesus Christ. It is time for this world to
truly experience the love of God. A true “Christian
Mystic” is a Christian who is in relationship with Divine
Intelligence and is constantly growing, maturing.
Ancient Antiochene Christian Mysticism does not teach anything that cannot
be shown from God’s word. We believe in Sola Scriptura and through this
ministry we are helping people to bring their Christian faith into all areas of
their lives.
This is “part one”, an introduction to our new series. These will be
semi-short messages but will be loaded with deep and rich spiritual Truth from
God’s word and the history of His people. These articles will also include the
theological understandings of the Ancient Antiochene
Church of God. Christians were first called “Christian” in ancient
Antioch. We trace our ministry back to that First Christian Church and its
original teachings – before all of today’s denominational confusion started.
Please stay with us here as often as you can and use your Bible. When you
can, relax and read our articles, watch the lectures and then share and live
the true Christian Life.
In the peace of our Lord Jesus the Christ,

Note: We
encourage all Christians to find a healthy church. If you have children raise
your children in the church. No matter what church that you may attend you can
always stop in here to get special insight that you might not be able to get
anyplace else. Keep your Bible with you at all times.
