Ancient Antiochene
Mysteries
Part
Forty-seven
“The
Mystery of the Lutheran Restoration.”

In the book of
Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that Daniel is called to interpret. The
dream involved a vision, a statue of a man made out of four metals. The head
made of gold, the arms and chest of silver, the belly to the thighs bronze, and
finally both legs made of iron. Each metal represented a different kingdom and a
ruling king - covering a consecutive period of time.
Scholars all
agree that the four metals of the man statue represent:
1-Gold-Babylon (head) 606-538 BC
2-Silver-Medio/Persian (two arms) 538-330 BC
3-Bronze-Greece (mid-section to thighs) 330-30
BC
4-Iron-Rome (East & West, two long legs)
30-to today.
What most
protestants do not understand is: What do the two legs of Rome stand for?
History shows us that Rome was eventually divided into two parts, Eastern Rome
and Western Rome. This happening in 364 AD.
The legs are
the longest part of the statue and thus represent the longest ruling kingdom.
Both the Eastern and Western Churches of “original Rome” exist to this day.
These are the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox (Greek) churches. So, the
legs are still here. Both of these churches became apostate and are heretically
corrupt. God’s true church cannot be destroyed. The true Church had to go
“underground” during the Dark Ages.
In 1500 AD it
came through and out the other side when Martin Luther appeared on scene. In
1505 AD Martin became a monk. His parents raised him in the fallen Roman
church. He grew up praying to saints, believing in the supremacy of the pope
and many other heretical things. Yet in time God would call him up and out of
the fallen church to start the Protestant movement. Through Martin Luther God restored
the true doctrine of salvation. The Ancient Antiochene Church awoke and openly marched
to the Bride of Christ. The “Straight Testimony” began to shine through the
false papal standard.
Sadly, Satan
took the opportunity to start off-shoots from the true restoration. True
Confessional Lutherans have become the true remnant, especially those who have
continued into the “New Light” of true dispensationalism being restored. All of
the so called “protestant offshoots” are full of false doctrine – they make up
“the Harlot’s daughters”. They have
rejected “The Book of Concord” which is the “keystone” when it comes to
inspired commentary.
Who holds to
the Truth today in purity? The Ancient Antiochene Church of God is the original
remnant which has come through the Lutheran restoration. So, there is only one
and final true church that could have left the two divisions of Rome. Many
churches coming out with confusing and conflicting theories would not
constitute the ONE true church. So, who did God call to come out first with the
Truth?
It was Saint
Martin Luther that God called to do this Great Work (Isaiah 29:14). To this
very day “The Ancient Antiochene Church of God” teaches from the catechisms of
Luther. We also uphold the book containing our sacred testimony of faith, the
“Book of Concordia”. Ultimately the Bible is our true and complete confession,
however, in a world where many languages are spoken and much confusion over
definitions of terms and true Christian doctrine is debated and added to
everyday it is important to have an articulate statement of our faith. We here
at this ministry - which we truly believe is a continuation of the one true
faith once delivered - wish to share just what we hold to when it comes to
confessions.
We also hold to
three historic Christian Creeds. One, we uphold and accept “The Apostles Creed”
(the oldest amongst faith statements in the true Christian Church) and second,
we hold to the “Nicene Creed”, third “The Athanasius Creed” and finally we
uphold the complete and entire “Augsburg Confession” with an addendum on the
doctrine of Baptism which we believe St. Martin Luther would have upheld.
My hope is that
we all remain teachable.
We are learning
much more about true church history.
This is most
certainly true.
