The Ancient Antiochene Church of God
What
does the Ancient Antiochene Church of God think about robot technology? Another
very good question for todays Christians. It is very important for true
Christians to be informed of the updated technology of this planet. All that we
uphold and support should be guided by Christian morals and standards. We
realize that this fallen world will not ultimately listen to us Christians, but
that doesn’t mean that we cannot state our beliefs and try and support those
who agree with us regarding such important issues as morality and technology.
As we have stated before, we will here state again. We
(AACG) are not against all AI technology or even robot technology. We even
agree with some human psychology and human philosophy regarding certain
matters. What we make a concern about is how all that we have been given so
freely by our Creator is being used. All the current computer and AI technology
has greatly changed society in many ways.
Robot technology is changing how we live on a huge scale.
The Christian view of humanity is the correct view. Humans are created by
intelligent design by a Creator that we call the Almighty God. In fact, all in
the material and other worlds was and is created by our Christian God. This is
what makes God truly God. God is in complete control of everything or He
wouldn’t be God. As Christians we believe that God has left us His word which
contains instructions and understandings about human nature that are key.
As Christians our beliefs bleed into everything that we are.
We try and allow God to have complete parent-hood over us. So, if we were to
build a robot we ask; “How would God instruct us to do such a thing and for
what purpose?” We would want a Biblically based ethical robot, not distorted
having ethics furnished by fallen mankind. Today, fallen psychology uses
relativistic ethics. There are so many cultures with differing “relatives” that
this kind of reasoning does not work for everybody – it is biased. God’s morals
are static and perfect – not delusional.
This relative “right” and “wrong” has already created chaos.
The false ethical programing has already affected algorithms pointing people to
hopelessness and even suicide. What will the “human-like” robots be used for?
Companionship? Perhaps even marriage and sex? This is a strange world already;
the continuing evil will only get worse. The Bible states that things man
“creates” and does will get worse before the Great Tribulation. We must not be
complacent about this reality.
Many companies will get rid of their human employees and opt
for robots. How does this help humanity? Humans were created to work and be in
relationships. God likes us to be properly productive. Much of the replacement
technology has created even more polarization in society. Instead of going to
the elders and God’s word for advice, people opt for the godless perverted AI
and computer chip “wisdom”. The question should always be; “How can we use AI
robot technology for God’s good rather than for fallen and distorted human
greed?”
AI technology is the new ultimate deceiver. It can recreate
anybody’s voice and picture. It can write false news reports and make up fake
science. As true Christians must now recalibrate how we view anything online.
Presbyter King has warned about this deception for the last 8 years. We
encourage you to visit with us and meet Presbyter King. We are not robots. We
have encouraged all true Christians to start home meetings and Bible studies.
Don’t wait for your denomination to do anything. True Christians must now get
busy. Many new home-Bible-studies have started using Presbyter King’s video
lectures and then having open discussions.
We urge Christians to remain in the current church that they
attend if they know that God is using that church and using them to help the
rest of the Body of Christ. Our mission is to “feed the church” proper doctrine
and to help keep the church awake, aware, and alert to what is going on in this
fallen world so that we may stay protected and guided by the Living Word of
God.
We must not seek to become “machines”. We must not allow all
of this technology to literally “swallow” us. It is time for all Christians to
learn and use digital discernment. We will use technology, but we must never
let it use us. How we as Christians help to set the standard of this new
technology will be extremely important. Parents must become educated regarding
this new technology so that they have a continued voice in its development.
We, the Ancient Antiochene Church of God, use current technology
in our own ministries. We use satellites, computers, and AI technology
properly. We must continue to remain alert regarding these issues. As
Christians, let us help to shape this new technology for God’s good and set an
example to the fallen human race.
