Technology & the Ancient Antiochene Church of God
What
does the Ancient Antiochene Church of God think about AI technology? Well, this
is an ongoing situation because of the rapid changes in technology. Right now,
we admit that this technology is very dangerous due to the fallen sinful nature
of humanity. Man has always used that which could be a good thing for something
bad, usually very bad. This is what fallen human nature does. Thank God for
Jesus Christ. Jesus came to save sinners. All have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God. Thus, all need Jesus the Christ.
Eight-tracks went to tape cassettes, these went to CD’s, and
from this to computer downloads. Horses changed into gas cars and now electric.
People say; “All just need to adapt.” One does not need to have all of the extra
new gadgets to “adapt”. As a matter of fact, many children are not learning to
write or think, they let their computers do that for them. What happens when a
solar flare turns all electricity off for more than a year? Yikes! Can these
children today read an actual book? Cook their own food? Make a candle? Make
their own shelters? It would be a good time to learn. This planet is
approaching the Great Tribulation. What happens if a giant asteroid hits? Lots
to think about.
Technology is good when used for good. Technology can never
replace the human relationship or uniqueness. Man is trying to create something
better than he is all the time. AI technology is replacing human interaction
and basic work. God created us to work and use our hands to create, not just
push buttons. Humans are not machines or computers, they are spirit-souls. Our
human bodies are the most remarkable creation. The Bible states that we are to
use our bodies to care for our family, friends, and neighbors – not just sit
around and stare at a screen and push buttons. Humans are here on planet earth
to realize their sinful condition and seek God for help. True humility longs
for a right relationship with its Creator.
AI technology is being developed to predict human nature –
racial and gender programs. Based on what? On who’s understanding? Fallen mans.
Whatever man creates has error. The ethical programmers of this new science are
“relativistic morality” philosophers. This is a biased and perverted ethical approach.
Many young people have already been duped into committing suicide because of
this AI “intelligence”. If one listens to Presbyter King’s talks titled; “The Creative Ages” he or she will learn that history is repeating itself. Lucifer,
who was the “Morning Star” in charge of our early planet, messed with this kind
of technology and blended it with genetic science. This created a huge mess. We
must learn from the past.
Ultimately, this technology will lead fallen mankind to
create human-machines - hybrid humans. The power to sin will increase and acts
of sin will become more destructive. Already, greedy computer techs are
controlling the algorithms of the internet which leads human thinking into
certain directions. People’s minds are being directed to think distorted and
delusion thoughts regarding God, government, society, sex, and everything else
which affects the family unit. Because current control freaks have created
atheistic minds, they have forced people to look to fallen human government to
replace God and have all the “perfect answers” to everything.
People have become fanatical regarding government leaders.
They almost worship them as gods and treat the ones that they don’t like as
Satan himself. Hate, not love, has become the ingredients for change in
society. All of this technology can be used for good and honest reasons,
however, due to the sinful nature of humanity we must expect the worst also.
The weapons of war that are being created with AI are the
evilest. Rapid changes in society are developing and will happen so fast that
most people will not know what hit them. The Bible states that the “Beast”
[final Antichrist] will make an image that will “speak”. It is to this image
that the fallen masses shall go for all their answers. We are beginning to
watch this happen.
It is time for the church to educate itself regarding this
important issue. We must stay with the revealed wisdom and Word of God for our
