Christian
Hope
As
Christians, we have a great hope. Those who have chosen not to believe in
something greater than themselves really have no hope. Many humans are caught
in the trap of only believing in the “fallen” human experience. Their
interpretation of things is based on man-made psychology and they place this
“made up” belief system above that of higher understandings.
The priceless gift of true spiritual understanding is
helping many Christians keep their eyes on goodness. We, as Christians, have hope.
Our hope is comforting in all times. What many lost souls call “realism” are trapped in cynicism, doubt, and
depression. The Christian faith offers true encouragement and removal of false
fears.
Christian hope is not telling somebody to ignore difficulties
or hard times, but it is teaching to confront them with hope. True Christianity
is not some fake Pollyanna scheme of illusion. As Christians we do not offer
slogans of peace that have no reality. We base our understandings on the Word
of God Himself – the Divine Intelligence of all creation. We have experienced
the “fruit” of our personal faith and we have gained a powerful trust in our
God.
We have true deliverance from this fallen world. We
understand that we are here but for a short time. Our eternity will be a better
place as Christians. We have this clearer reality. Many people think that this life is
all that exists and that they have to just suffer through everything. This is a
sad condition. This material world will be long gone one day but not Christians.
We will be living in a new world with fellow Christians, family and friends and
no more sin. What a hope!
Today most people experience times of great happiness and
goodness but then something happens and they enter depression and worry. Many
experience times of hopelessness. Those who do not yet have the true Gospel
message understand that “something down here isn’t right” but they cannot put
their finger on it. When they begin to understand sin and the fact that all
humanity is dealing with a “fallen sinful nature” then things get a little bit
clearer.
When a person begins to truly understand the Gospel of Jesus
Christ then glimmers of “light” enter the consciousness. An inner happiness comes
upon the child of God. As one begins to understand God and lets God begin to
speak to their soul then the true Parent is found. God cares for you more than
anybody or anything. By turning to God, one begins to experience true hope in
the daily tasks of life. Even in difficulties we have promises from God that He
is with us, He wants to help us, if we would but just listen. When we truly listen
to God, we receive the true hope.
You may begin to count the times that God helped you through
many difficulties in your personal life. Remember these times, He is still
working in and around you. God’s unseen hands are holding and directing you.
This is the constant and profound hope that we have.
Hope in God all the time. God will bring healing at the
right time. God may not answer the way we always wish down here, but remember,
when we leave this fleshly existence, we will be in His presence forever – we
will live in His kingdom forever with no more evil, sickness, or death. Be
ready now for the time God wishes to call you home.
Share the Good News of our Lord with others. May the grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
