Time to Understand the Bible
By Eric William King
Many Christians today may read their Bible's, and that is a very good
thing. However, not too many Christians actually take time out to study the
true history of their faith nor do they take time out to read good Bible
commentaries. I truly believe that it is time for all Christians to get much
more serious about their faith.
No other book is as important than the Holy
Bible. God's word contains truths that permeate all time and space.
It gives humanity the breadth of mind and stability in this chaotic world of
ours that one needs to stay sane. Many read their Bible without comprehending
its core message and they have given up stating that it is too hard to
understand. This is why it is very important to find a Bible teacher, one who
understands the Seven Laws of Biblical Hermeneutics.
A Christian should keep the actual book of the Bible with him at all
times. Christians should memorize verses and keep God’s word fixed in their
minds at all times. Christians should remain in prayer throughout the wakeful
hours and ponder, meditate on Scripture.
Ask for God’s guidance in all that you do. Have moments of alone time
and stillness, moments to simply relax in the love and peace of God’s
presence.
The Bible should always be studied with prayer. The Holy Spirit will
enlighten the mind of the regenerated Christian. My hope is that you study
God’s word everyday and continue to learn more about Jesus Christ and Heavenly
Father, the Holy Spirit will lead, guide, direct and protect
you in your honest studies of his word.

the faith. If you do not yet go to a Christian church, then find a true Church of God
in your area and begin to attend. Find fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Be strong in the Word.
