Part Forty-four

“The Mystery of Kings & Priests.”

When we study God’s word, we begin to realize that He began to train His servants for their particular task early on in their adult lives and sometimes as children. David was a shepherd boy in training to become a king. Moses started as a baby in a basket, through growing up God continued to train him and make him qualified to complete a great mission.

Joshua was assisting Moses for 40 years before he became a good leader. Most Christians have not been taught just what they are training for. It is important to have purpose in life. God created all of us, each one, for a special purpose. The Ancient Antiochene Church of God has people of true purpose. The Christian Church is comprised of true believers who, as children of God, have a mission during this special dispensation of time. We are ambassadors of the coming Kingdom of God – the restored Davidic Kingdom. God promised literal Israel a time when they would live in a kingdom without the Devil. A time of great peace on Earth. This will be fulfilled during the Millennial Kingdom. This will fulfill the Davidic Covenant – an unconditional covenant.

After the Great Tribulation there will be the Judgment of the Nations. Those who made it through the Great Tribulation will enter the restored Earth Kingdom. “Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (Matthew 25:34) There will not be many Humans left to enter this blessed Kingdom after the terrible Tribulation (Isaiah 24:6; 13:11-12).

God says; “…I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold.”

Right now, Christians are being trained to serve during the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Jesus has made us - Christians, kings and priests. And 1^st Corinthians 6:3 states that we will even help “judge angels.” During this time the 12 apostles will sit on twelve thrones and begin to help Jesus in the organization of His Kingdom on Earth (Matthew 19:28). So dear Christian, “…you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light.” (1^st Peter 2:9) The Church is the Kingdom in Mystery. We are to fulfill our duty as Children of Light.

We offer up “spiritual sacrifices” as priests of God on planet Earth. We do that by interceding for others in prayer. When we help our neighbor. When we feed and tend to others. When we help heal others and comfort others. When we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (1^st Peter 2:5) During the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ many Christians, in their glorified bodies, will be working and assisting on the restored Earth. God promises; “I will bring back the captivities of My people Israel; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat the fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.” (Amos 9:14-15)

Jesus has made us “…kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on Earth.” (Revelation 5:10) Yes, God will build the Davidian Kingdom. “On that day I will raise up the Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages, I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old.” (Amos 9:11) After the Tribulation God will give Jesus Christ the throne of the new Davidic Kingdom, as promised by the angel - “and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end.” (Luke 1:32-33) Right now Jesus sits on the Eternal Throne in Heaven next to Father God but He will be changing location, to come sit on David’s restored throne.

Jesus…” whom heaven must receive until the time of restoration of all things [Restored Davidian Kingdom], which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.” (Acts 3:21) Jesus will return with his Church to help set up this glorious Kingdom. Will you be there with Jesus? By truly accepting Jesus and becoming Born Again we become the children of God and the Family of the Messiah (Jesus Christ). The First Church is truly the God Family (Ephesians 3:14-15). The New Testament also teaches us to have (or develop) the “mind of Christ - Messiah” (Philippians 2:5-7). Jesus instructs us to “become like Him” (Matt. 10:25; Jn 13:15). This is possible because true Christians are gifted with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:14). Through the Holy Spirit the New Testament teaches that we “become partakers of the Divine Nature” (2^nd Peter 1:4). Christians are “messiahs” with a small “m”.

The New Testament teaches that Jesus will make Christians “Kings and Priests [& Priestesses]” and they will rule with Christ during the Millennial Kingdom. Many shall rule as “saviors” or “deliverers” (Obadiah 21). Jesus even promises to give some during this time “the same authority” that He had “been given by the Father”. We read some of these promises in the Apocalypse (Book of Revelation – Rev. 2:26-29; 5:10).

What an exciting time we are in now, the time of Kingly and Priestly training.
