Ancient Antiochene Church of God - Orthodox Lutherans

Ancient Antiochene Church of God

~Orthodox Lutherans~

We are Christians. Jesus Christ stated that He would build His church and that not even hell could destroy it. We believe that the true church started on Pentecost in April (30-33 AD). After the church was started it became organized and developed further organization. After the death of apostle John, the church exited in purity while dealing with doctrinal issues for 100 years. We call this the early apostolic period of the church.

Starting in 100 AD to 451 AD we have what we call the "patristic" period of the church. Towards the end of this period schisms in the church began to appear over doctrinal issues. In between 500 AD until 900 AD ideas of a "papa bishop" were introduced by the church in Rome. This lead to them developing the idea and office of a "Pope" ("papa bishop). The Greek church knew that this was not biblical and that it was only created to give a false authority to the Roman church.

The Greek and Roman church officially parted ways in 1054 AD. Thus, what became known as the "Greek Orthodox" and "Roman Papacy" were the first two denominations of Christianity. By this time in history they became politically charged and integrated with political powers. They became "religio-political" churches. Both had false doctrines that had infected the church because of pagan converts and integrations.

In the 1500's (AD) some Christians tried to reform the church, bring it back to sound biblical doctrine. The early beginning of this movement failed until we come to Martin Luther. Martin Luther who was an Augustinian Monk of the Roman church wrote out 95 statements and nailed these rebukes to the Castle Church in Wittenberg on October 31st 1517. This started a protest against all the false doctrines and urged the church and its leaders to return to the Bible to get proper doctrine.

This started what became known as the "protestant movement". Luther never wanted to start a new church, he simply wanted to RESTORE what had been twisted, distorted, and in some cases completely removed from the true doctrine of Christianity.

Eventually a book came forward called the "Book of Concordia" which contained all the proper doctrines regarding proper liturgical worship and Christian salvation (proper soteriology). Hence, what became known as the Christian Lutheran church began.

Today the Ancient Antiochene Church of God is the remnant of the true Lutheran movement and restoration. even more proper doctrines regarding eschatology have now been restored. The Ancient Antiochene Church of God considers itself to be the authentic Orthodox Lutheran Church to this day. We do not have any specific buildings for worship, we are not a "non-profit" organization. We have true Christians which attend numerous protestant denominations including conservative Lutheran churches today for fellowship and worship.

To be a true Christian is free. All one has to do is accept Jesus Christ as his or her personal and legitimate savior and God. Accept the Holy Trinity and Sola Scriptura (the Christian Bible alone) for all of your answers.

Today we urge true Christians to get a copy of the "Book of Concordia" and study it with your Bible. This will help you to understand the true history of your Christian faith. Sadly, many Christians today do not even know the true history of their Christian faith. Study with us here at "The Shepherds Way & Nugget of Truth" which is the legitimate online ministry resource of the Ancient Antiochene Church of God" (We were first called "Christian" in ancient Antioch - Acts 11:26).

Whatever church that you worship at and attend, if you truly believe that God is working there and that you are helping the body of Christ being there, we urge you to stay there and share the true Gospel of Jesus Christ when and however you can.

As the Holy Spirit leads you, we continue to pray for you and welcome you as a true Orthodox Lutheran Christian - Antiochene Christian. Thank you for taking time out to visit us, your fellow brothers and sisters in our Lord - Jesus the Christ.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
