David’s Throne – “The throne of the Lord.”
“So Solomon sat on the Throne of the Lord as king
in place of his father David.”
(1st Chronicles 29:23)
Most
Christians have not been taught just what the “throne of the Lord”
is and where it is located. The ancient Israelites understood where God’s “Eternal
Throne” is. It is in the highest heaven. When Jesus Christ resurrected He
ascended to this “Eternal Throne” and sat at “the right hand of the Father”.
Jesus Christ is not sitting on this Davidic throne now but is promised to receive it. The angel Gabriel proclaimed this message to Mary before she became pregnant: “He [Jesus] will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.” (Luke 1:32)
King David’s throne was never in Heaven, it was on earth. Here Jesus is clearly promised this earthly throne, “the throne of the Lord.” Jesus promised His apostles a special place of rulership in this coming kingdom (Matthew 19:28). In Apostle Peter’s second sermon to the Jews he tells them that Christ must remain in heaven until “the renewal of all things” then Christ will “change position” and come down to sit on the Davidic throne.
After Jesus resurrected His apostles asked Him; “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom of Israel?” (Acts 1:6) Jesus replied that it was not for them to “know the times or dates” of just when this would occur (vs. 7). So Jesus will receive this coming kingdom and it will usher in the Millennial Reign of Christ with His church (Revelation 20:1-6).
If you continue to study here at “The Shepherds Way” you will learn that the Davidian Throne has always had a descendant of the Adamic race to sit on this throne, a “seed of David” which has never been destroyed. This is highly protected knowledge and has been since the “foundation of this world”. The throne and the seed are still here. For Jesus to come back and take the “throne of His father David” that throne must still be here. Next we will begin to reveal “the Kingdom in Mystery” which of course involves the Christian Church.
