The Commandments of Jesus Christ

 The Commandments of Jesus Christ

As begotten children of God (Christians) we are to participate in personal character development. By God’s grace we have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us as Christians and becomes the “thought and action adjuster”. The Holy Spirit helps us grow into the character of Jesus Christ. As New Covenant believers we have the directions to proceed in this most holy work.

All Christians are what we call “the New Creation”. We are spiritual hybrids (pre-celestial beings), and we are different from this fallen world. We are “new creatures in Christ” (2nd Corinthians 5:17).  The Christian that is living out his or her faith is a disciple – student of God’s word. A true Christian is part of the Church. You cannot call yourself a Christian and be separate from “the body of Christ” (His church).

Since we entered the sixth-dispensation, the Church era, we have accepted the terms of the New Covenant. As Christians we understand that we are a “family”, the God Family. We also understand that we make up the “spiritual Kingdom of God” while here. Currently we are the “Kingdom in Mystery”. After the Great Tribulation and the commencement of the millennium we shall become the Kingdom in Manifestation. While here, we are maturing in our faith and are training to become “kings [rulers] and priests [teachers]” in the coming Kingdom of God.

We follow the commandments given to us in the New Testament by Jesus Christ. All that Jesus taught becomes our commandments. This includes what He revealed and taught through His apostles. We do not follow a “rule list” and we are not saved by our works. We are saved by God’s grace through faith in the person of Jesus Christ. We keep the commandments of Jesus not to be saved, we keep them because we are saved.

When God’s plan for us has reached the Kingdom fulfilment, all of His creation will be placed in its own perfection and estate. True diversity in the wholeness of its beauty. We pray for this coming kingdom; “thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven.” If you have been a Christian and have not been taught these things, we invite you to study with us here at “The Shepherds Way & Nugget of Truth”.
