Morals & Absolutes

Christianity and “codes of life”.

Christianity and “codes of behavior”. Most people, when they think of Christianity, or most any other religion, they may immediately think of some kind of “code of behavior”. Why is this? Well, because religion tries to regulate what we might call “morality”. All religions have basic moral principles that most might agree with but then, it seems, they may introduce some activity that doesn’t seem rational but instead amounts to something arbitrary.

Is there really an absolute “good” and “evil”? This seems to be the unagreeable debate. As Ancient Antiochene Christians we understand God to be absolute in many ways. We believe that God absolutely exists. If God truly exists God must have certain ways about Himself. We call God “Him” to denote the strength of God. In our physical human experience strength is understood regarding the movement or manipulation of physical things so this makes sense for us. As AACG Christians we also accept the motherly qualities of God through “Sophia”, the Holy Spirit.

So, do our “Divine Parents” (God) have morals? We say absolutely “YES”. Because we are Christians, we believe that God has revealed much of His will for us humans through the Holy Scriptures. When we study our Christian Bibles, we find that God leaves nothing out regarding the activities of “fallen” human nature. The Bible describes the problems with man and even man’s understandings about God. The Bible also gives solutions for our behavioral and relationship issues.

We admit, as Christians, that good moral behavior establishes good emotional and intellectual satisfactions. True morality makes one feel good for him or herself, and others. There are some things in human tradition, specifically religious things, that have changed because they have been found “not to be needed” to assume proper moral issues. Most of the false religious practices have amounted to properly understanding the superstitious aspects of spirituality.

We could say that true “evil” is that which produces the opposite of human pleasure. Whether a person is religious or not, they admit to ideas of evil. As AACG Christians we understand that humanity has developed differing conceptions of what is good and evil but at the same time we believe that Divine Intelligence has revealed somewhat of an “absolute” regarding certain aspects of moral behavior. These are revealed to us through God’s “only begotten Son”, Jesus the Christ.

As true Christians, we understand that the human person known as Jesus Christ is the exact “icon” of God in human flesh – demonstrating proper life “understandings” [perception] and “living” for humans. So, Jesus Christ to us is not a “religious founder” or “cult leader”. No. He is God Himself in the full flesh for us. This makes sense, we being human need proper human understandings from our Creator to live correctly.

As AACG Christians we learn to properly adjust our perspective of everything. We begin to see God in everything when we begin to understand God’s universal laws (Cosmic Law) - in everything and in everyone that we experience God is operative.

As AACG Christians we recognize the fact of all the diverse interpretations of morality within Christianity itself. Our planet has many denominations and so called “non-denominational” sects of Christianity all touting their own ideas about what is moral and what is not. People argue over what day you should collectively worship on. Some churches give dietary laws. There are different understandings of heaven and hell, spirit soul, etc. and multiple interpretations of just who Jesus was.

As Ancient Antiochene Christians we truly believe that it is very important to study the history of true Christianity and find out just what the early church (first 451 years of the church) actually practiced, taught, and believed in. We were first called Christians in ancient Antioch (Acts 11:26) so that is where we should always start. It is our prayer that if you have read this you will give us an “ear” and learn about what we teach. We accept the early beliefs of the Christian church and bring them up into modern application and comprehension. This is important.

In a world experiencing extreme advancements in science, UFO’s (UAP’s), robots, AI technology, etc. the Christian church needs to be helpful in its responses. We truly believe that God’s word is eternally applicable to every human. We recognize cultural relativity when it comes to certain aspects of human relationship – not everything is absolutely “wrong”. Having stated that, at the same time we do in fact believe in a static moral reality and spirituality which is found in true Christianity.

In closing, we believe that God has given humanity a strong foundation for true spiritual development, the “one true faith” which was “once delivered”. It is time for Christians to begin serious dialogue with each other to allow continued growth in the understandings of our God and our universe.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
