Internet Wisdom…
The
Ancient Antiochene Church of God has advice for internet use and Christians. We
use the internet for our ministry and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The
internet technology can indeed be used for the good. However, Satan knows the
weakness of humanity. Satan has used sex to entice many into sexual sin.
Unfortunately, the exploitation of women is rampant on the internet. All of the
clothes ads and perfume ads are pictured with half naked women. Women are
used on the internet for bad behavior.
Our online ministry has had to keep blocking sexually
explicit ads. It never ends. Adults and youth are blind to how they are being
manipulated online. Flashing advertisements of half-naked people online to
spark perversion in the thoughts – to plant seeds of fornication, adultery, and
flat-out perversion is constant. Start to become conscious of what you are
seeing online. Behold, the manipulation of the mind from the Wicked One.
The internet promotes pornography through more than half of
its advertisements. Note the companies and industries involved in such behavior.
Send them an email telling them how you and your family feel about this. This
problem is epidemic.
Over internet use promotes isolation. Many mothers will stay
home, get their cleaning routine down, and then sit for hours on the internet.
Men do the same. Children sit amongst many family members with their heads buried
in the cell phone screen. God did not create us to be internet-zombies. Online
communication has created conflict. Argumentation is now a “science” of
communication online. Everybody tries to do their share in “fault-finding”. Now
you can invite many to join in on harassment and character destruction. A false
sense of control becomes addictive.
People are truly missing relationship blessings by staying
home or in the office online. God created us to be social in the normal sense,
getting outside with others. Playing games with others. Walking and talking
with others. Going to church and worshiping together. Eating as a family
together. All of these things are laughed at today. Why? Because the internet
“god” has informed them that they must “evolve” and “move on”. Simply ignore
reality and stay in the “cloud”. Look at how this has affected society as a
whole. Not good.
Criticism and gossip, two things God says that He hates, are
now a daily activity with no sense of guilt. Even family members are cutting
down publicly their own brothers and sisters. No more family protection or
love involved. Cold, cold, cold and bitter the internet zombie has become.
Last, but certainly not least, the ridicule of Christians is
spreading like the leaves of autumn. Public tweets, emails, posts, Facebook
propaganda all show a hatred towards Christians. Making comments such as,
“Those Christians need to adapt and grow up.” They tell Christians to accept
all kinds of sexual perversion and violence - like this is the truly
“enlightened” path.
In the end, the problem is not with true science, the internet,
or even AI technology. The problem starts with the individual, the human being.
People are the problem. The Bible teaches the Truth when it speaks of mankind’s
fallen human nature – the sinful disease that all humans have. The Bible also
offers the only True Good News regarding how to be saved from the
old-sinful-nature. One must meet the person of Jesus Christ. One may do this
through the “body of Christ”, the Christian Church. If you have read this, we
